I have to say, one of the best things about what I do, is the people I meet and become friends with. This family is right there. See? It's all about being Rad. :) And when I say Rad..I mean: awesome, cool, fantastic, out of this world amazing..you get the point. :D

Now Booking...FALL SESSIONS!!! :)

Photobucket

Here we go folks. Fall is slowly creeping up on us. Let's give a little shout out to brilliant colored leaves, pumpkin bread, cool, crisp mornings and the beginnings of late night hot cocoa. WHOOT!! Along with that comes the time to book your fall photo sessions. Before you know it, the holiday season will be here and those Christmas cards will need to be sent out. I don't know about you, but my favorite part of the card is the photo that comes with it. (Hey, it's never too late to put a face with Aunt Edna..you know, the one you've never met. Yeah. Her.)

Fall sessions are going to go fast. Because of the high number of bookings last year, I have a feeling these babies will vanish soon. This year, Jinksee Photography is giving you two session choices. When setting up your appointment, please refer to which session you are wanting.

Session A (The whole ka-bang): $75
1 hour session,
photo CD of edited photos (between 20-30 photos)

Session B
(Party in a bag): $50
30 minute session
photo CD of edited photos (between 10-15 photos)

Fall sessions will run from September 27th through October 31
st.

And, as a little gift from me to you, all booked and completed appointments will be entered into a drawing for a free photo book! That's right. To say THANK YOU, one booked and completed photo session will get a sweet photo book of your session. (Drawing will be held Oct 31st, winner announced Nov 1st.)

New site, new family= love!

Just a few weeks ago, I got to meet a new family. I love meeting new families, especially when they are referred to me by other amazing clients. (thanks B family!!) What a fun time we had at a new location. They knew about a little train museum in town that hosted a few train cars and old railroad tracks. It was fab to say the least.

Little brother and sis were absolutely adorable. I'm not even kiddig. They were funny and you could tell they loved each other. Mom and dad...um..BEAUTIFUL! Hello! And, could you be any more in love? ( as a little side note, Mom has a vinyl business. If you need vinyl for your house, let me know,I will send you to her. :D ) What a fun evening it was. Seriously..can't wait to do this again.

I know you can't wait..so, here we go. Let me introduce you to the L family:

See!? Aren't they a fun looking, beautiful family?? I thought so..
Photobucket

Brother and sis..clearly they love each other.
Photobucket

Ohh-la-la!
Photobucket

Sweet sis..
Photobucket

Love this one by the old looking building.
Photobucket

Little man..

And one on the train. I would love to have this in my backyard. Well, not in my backyard, but close enough that I could go there for my photo shoots. It was so awesome.
Photobucket

Thank you so much L family. You all amaze me. Again, can't wait to do this for you again! :)

Until next time..

Summer/Family Favorites...

I've known this family for a long time.
Photobucket

He grew up with my brothers and I. I can remember riding home with them from high school and laughing at all their silly jokes, just having the time of my life. Who would have thought that years later, I'd be photographing his family growing up. That makes it all the sweeter that I get to photograph this sweet family every summer. They have quickly become one of my favorite families to photograph.

This year, a sweet little one joined the family..
Photobucket
I know..I wanted to snuggle with him all day, too!! Isn't he precious?!

Just in case you didn't get enough from the first photo..here's another:
Photobucket

Big sister was a trooper. Just at the end of the session, she got a bloody nose. Ugh! I get those often, so can completely relate. But she stuck it out and we got a few more shots. She's growing faster then a weed. So beautiful. Better get your gun out, dad..she's going to be a heart breaker..
Photobucket

Middle man, and brother was handsome as ever. Still full of energy, which adds so much to the session. He wanted to get a photo of him in a tree, but all the trees were too big to climb. Next time, for sure.
Photobucket

Little sis...just such a doll!!! Oh goodness, her eyes are to die for!!
Photobucket

The session wouldn't be complete without a photo of mom and dad. I remember their wedding reception. They were willing to let me capture that day for them as well. See..love this family! Lots of memories, lots of moments.
Photobucket

Thanks 'B' family for letting me be a part of your life. You are a beautiful family, and a joy to photograph. Can't wait until next summer! :D

Until next time..

I'm in love...

with my adorable nephew..
Photobucket

How can I not be?
Photobucket

Have you seen his cuteness?
Photobucket

And, by all means..look at that face..
Photobucket

Plus..he already gets along great with his sister..
Photobucket

Welcome to the world, little C. And, congrats to my brother and sister-in-law. You guys are amazing parents, and I'm so glad I was there to be a part of this moment. Whenever you need a babysitter, you know who to call..we'll just have to get a plane ticket, first. ;)

Until next time..

Perfect..

Sometimes, you get the perfect shot. The perfect lighting. The perfect look. As a photographer, you look for things like this constantly. One thing I've realized, is that it's not about the photographer..it's about the timing. It has to be perfect.
And, I think I got it with this one:

Photobucket

What do you think? Not bad, eh? What I love the most though, is..look at his socks. Those words say it all. Love. And that..that, in this picture, is perfect.

Until next time..

Sometimes...

It's summer. Which I love. And I hate. I love that we're all home for 3 months. I love that we can sleep in if we want or stay up late if we choose. I love that the sun is out longer so we can take lazy strolls at 8pm. I love the events that our little part of the world puts on for families to enjoy.

I hate all the moments of boredom when all I hear if mindless arguing. Please tell me that I'm not the only one who hears this in the summer. Raise of hands anyone? Anyone?? Most days, it's good. We're busy with baseball, softball, camping, swimming, bike riding...but then...there are moments where there is nothing planned and we are bored. And the poking begins. "He poked me first!!" "No, he poked ME first!!" Back and forth it goes. Then, out of no where..they're best friends again.

I knew I had to capture this before it was too late..even if just to remind me of those moments when things are good in the world..

Photobucket

Sometimes, it's just nice to remember...
Until next time..

Senior, Miss C

I love photographing Seniors. No. I LOVE it. Love it to pieces! Miss C was awesome. Totally worked the camera and gave me attitude, which I also love. See for yourself:

Along with daring attitude, she has super spunk and style. Seriously..I want her dress.
Photobucket

And, let's talk beauty for a second, shall we? Yes. So completely beautiful both inside and out. I know, everyone says it, but it's true
Photobucket

One thing I love about Seniors is that they're fun. FUN!
Photobucket

Congrats on the upcoming Senior year!! You're already a superstar in my book!

Joygiving #6

Photobucket

AHHH!! Where did that month go!? Last month. And now this month. For reals, it's flyin'!! Which would explain the huge pause in Joygiving. HUGE pause. Um....*crickets chirping here..*

Moving on..

So, this month for Joygiving, how about a little fun. It's summer. What do you think about when it's summer? What comes to mind? I think of late night hide and seek games in the neighborhood. I use to play this with my brothers' and our neighborhood friends. Late into the evening, we'd play, hiding behind fences, car, under porches. It seriously was the best time ever.

I also think of ice cream. Do you remember that ice cream cereal?? It's like all of summer revolved around: ice cream. :D And as a kid, what could make you more happy then having ice cream in one form or another, 24/7? That' what I thought. :D

So..here's what I was thinking. What if, for this month, we made a special effort to visit the things that made us happy in our summer childhood. It could be ice cream, late night hide and seek, sleeping under the stars, running through sprinklers, maybe even catching bugs and firefly's. (I have yet to see a real firefly. Do they even exist? Really?) In doing so..I'm hoping to bring some of that joy back into our every day routine. It's summer for goodness sake..maybe we should take a little time to pause, be a kid, and enjoy something..anything..for a minute. Not just work. Not just laundry. Not just going through the motions..but truly LIVING.

Whadda say? You in?? I'll be posting some of my favorite moments of this challenge soon. :D

Oh..and to add to the fun..anyone who decides to take on this challenge will be entered into a drawing for a Ice Cream gift card!! That's right. I'll be sending you some ice cream to make some magical moments. Leave a comment and you'll be entered into the Joygiving-Ice Cream Style Giveaway!! :D
