Just Because

I was watching my middle child the other day. He was so independent, so ready to fly all by himself without any help from me. He kept telling me how he's a big boy now, and how he can do big boy things without help. Ride a bike. Read books. Make cereal. And then we went to the park. This is what I found:

And it made me realize that no matter how old or grown up they think they are..they will always need me. Always need that little comfort, little hug, little soothing. Just like a teddy bear. And it felt good to remember that.
Until next time...
